Hannah took some autumn pics...
I think Hannah was bored the other day and took a bunch of pics with my camera. Mostly of the cat's backside, guess he wasn't cooperating much!

(Well, this one is more of a side view, hard to pick out Rusty in the leaves!)

(rollin' around in the dirt!)

(Not a bad shot of our Maple tree!)

Fun on the trails!
So hubby bought me a nice little snow machine for Christmas, it's not brand new, didn't want a brand new one as it's kind of an expensive sport these days, but it was very affordable and it runs like a top!
We had fun on New's Year Day and again last Saturday. Silly me agreed to cross the lake from our house, Lake Memphremagog and it was nearly 3 miles across and I never prayed so hard in my life for that ice not to break!!! People were out there fishing, but about midway you could see the water on top of the ice and I about had a panic attack! Hubby and Dev were WAY ahead of me! I wanted to stop and take a picture, but I was too scared to stop!!!
We have enjoyed riding a couple of times this year and went about 60 miles each day, but now our snow is just about gone and today, the middle of Janaury just about, and it's raining!!!
Maybe we'll get a bit more snow later in the month, but if nothing else I have noticed that the days are getting a bit longer!!

2007
The year in review, the hightlights with pictures!
So, 2007 is almost over and another New Year is upon us.
A New Year always causes one to ponder and look back at what happened during the passing year.
Hard to believe on a day like today, but last January 7 we walked the dogs on the bike path and there was NO snow!

Then we lost our kitty Tommy of 9 years...

Then the snows finally came around January 15th...

Devon went to her first winter ball...

In Feb we drove to Lake Placid NY and saw Monsters INC on ice!

Hannah celebrated her 6th Birthday!

and learned to fly a kite!

In June I bought my first ever BRAND NEW car!

(And for as little as it is, it sure does go good in the snow!)
Hannah came down with strep throat and Mono in August and had to spend the day at the hospital getting IV'S and medicne!
Devon turned 15...

In November we lost our Bandit too...
(The worst year ever for losing our pets!)
Hannah enjoyed singing in her first Christmas concert.
And in September we took our LONG awaited trip out west to Vegas and many many other places. It was a true trip of a lifetime!!!

Through out the year we spent lots of time together, visiting with friends and family, fishing and riding bikes and taking long walks on the bike path and around town.
We laughed, we cried, we worked hard around our home and at our jobs. The girls enjoyed two weeks at camp. We celebrated the holidays and talked about our dreams and hopes for one another.
We had good health all year and have counted our blessings that the good Lord has given us this past year and we pray for the same in 2008!
Happy New Year everyone!

8 Days til Christmas!
And we have our tree up and it's the nicest one I think we have ever had, but the pictures I took of it really don't do it justice! It looks MUCH better in person...

We have had two fairly good sized snow storms for December. One almost two weeks ago on a Sunday into Monday and there was no school. Then the snow came again today, but we didn't get as much as expected...

Our week at the Lake
Had another nice week out to camp this summer. The weather was ok starting out, but turned rather chilly towards the week's end.
Devon celebrated her 15th birthday, where oh where does the time go??!! (Her actually birthday will be tomorrow.)
Hannah ended up sick with strep throat and mono! She's much better now after spending a day in the hospital to get rehydrated and medicated!
Some pics of our week.

(Out on the tubes ~ in black & white)

Taking out the old row boat ~

Enjoying a nice late afternoon on the lake ~
It's a peaceful spot where the crickets chirp and the frogs wallow and you can hear the wind through the big pine trees blowing gently, sometimes briskly and in the night time the moon shines a yellow glow across the smooth waters that gently lap the sandy beach.

A nice day for a walk
Who would have thought, that here in very Northern Vermont on January the 7th, we'd be able to take the dogs for a walk on the bike path! Not I!

The sky is blue, the sun is shining and it's nearly 40 degrees F. Unbelievable, but a great day for a walk!

Fair Time Once Again
It's fair time again and we enjoyed it very much, Hannah especially. She's still young enough to really see it from the eyes of a child. She also still likes having her picture taken, unlike her surly big teenage sister...

(One photo to prove my point..oh, she might be trying to smile, not sure!)

(Hannah's FAVORITE ride of all!)

(And this swing went REALLY high!

(Waiting for some pizza with Dad.)

(Oh those Geese!)

(And the sheep.)
And now fall really begins!

Camp Pictures ~ 2006
We spent a week out to my husband's family camp on Lake Salem. We usually go out for a few days every year about this time. The kids always look forward to it and it's a nice relaxing time away from the daily grind of home!
This year Devon celebrated her 14th birthday there with friends and family and a cake and lots of cards and gifts of money. What she really wants though is a cell phone! I'm seeing what I can do!
Enjoy!

(Hannah enjoying her boat ride.)

(Devon ~ 14th Birthday! does the smile give away her gifts?)

(Hangin' out.)

(Sitting in their Dad's old rowboat.)

(Hannah LOVES the hammocks!)

(Devon loved tubing!)

Vacation Fun
So this year we decided to to go away for a few days and visit a big water/amusement park. A place Andy and I actually use to go to when we were just kids, but never knew it then.
We arrived on Friday and got our hotel room and then spent the afternoon and evening with some of my family and played our first game of Redneck horseshoes! Ever heard of it?? We hadn't either, but we both lost! Although, I scored more points then him!
Saturday we were off to the park where Hannah and Devon enjoyed a few rides then we went into the water side of it, slides and wave pools and about two hours later it began to rain and never stopped! UGH!!!

(Posing with Bugs and Daffy!)
This was before it started raining. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of Hannah and the slides on the water park side because it was raining too hard! (didn't wan't to ruin my camera!!!)
But she did have a blast on several of the kiddie slides.

(Me & Hannah on the teacups) One ride I can handle!!

Happy 4th!
Today we celebrated the fourth by enjoying our annual fourth of July parade here in our hometown of Derby. Josh and his boss paraded their new towing rigs and all the kids got to ride along!

At the OK Corral
The girls enjoyed taking care of some farm animals the other night with Kim and her girls and son Tristan. We tried having them ride one of these pony's, but it was a no go! They were way to excited to get outside and run around!!

Miss Tatum and one of the baby goats.

Miss Hannah and a bunny rabbit!

And...Mr. Goat!

Water Fun, Again!
I must say, both my kids LOVE the water! We spent an afternoon out to the lake and Devon tried her hand at "water skiing" again. It's actually on what they call a sked, something like a snowboard. She did pretty good considering she hasn't tried this in four years!

Then the day ended with a glorious sunset!

Let Them Be Little
(better with speakers turned up a bit.)
I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand Felt so good in it, no bigger than a minute How it amazes me, you're changing with every blink Faster than a flower blooms they grow up all too soon.
So, let them be little 'cause they're only that way for awhile Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle Oh, but let them be little.

I've never felt so much in one little tender touch I live for those kisses, your prayers and your wishes And now that you're teaching me how only a child can see Tonight while we're on our knees all I ask is please.

Let them be little 'cause they're only that way for awhile Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle Oh, but let them be little.

So innocent, a precious soul, you turn around and It's time to let them go.

So, let them be little 'cause they're only that way for awhile Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle Oh, just let them be little.
Mmm, Let them be little...
