Remembering
a remarkable remarkable woman...

(Dana Reeve)
In one of her last interviews she was quoted as saying when asked, "Why, why has all this happened to you?" And she said...
"It's the rent you pay for being here on earth."
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

I don't keep up with stuff like this, so I hadn't heard ... didn't even know she had lung cancer. That's sad.
But y'know, I have to say, I had a problem with her AND Christopher because they supported using stem cells from aborted babies.
:(
I guess it's a pretty touchy subject for the most part, but I just believe that's no way to justify the fact that people are "going to do it anyway". That doesn't matter one iota. Does it impress me that there MIGHT be a cure for diabetes in there somewhere?
Nope. If I have to live a hundred years with diabetes, I will before I support the use of aborted babies for anything. It's that important to me to say it's wrong.
*Ahem* Didn't mean to take off a-preachin'. Heh.
It just burns me up that folks will talk about it like it's THE ONLY WAY to find cures, when the fact is, using adult stem cells without killing ANYBODY can work just as well.
Gah. Just burns me.
Um, sorry to rant and run, but I think I'd better!!
~hugs~
