There is a chill in the air
(in more ways than one!)
Since returning from our mini vacation, it's gotten a bit on the chilly side. I was contemplating planting some mums out in the front yard like I usually do, but I'm not so sure now. We may get a frost here some night, real soon!
I do need to keep an eye on my tomotoes though as they are starting to ripen and I want to catch them at their best so I can do some canning. I also want to go and pick apples at our favorite orchard in Canada, but I think I'm a bit early yet. Need to wait until next month. I love to get a bunch of brand new apples and make apple pie and a few other treats.
It's been so far so good for Dev at school. The attitude though, OMG, she thinks she is the queen now. It's funny because I don't remember having quite THAT much attitude at her age, but maybe I did, but I really don't think so. It's so strange how they go from being your loving little girl wanting hugs and kisses all the time to a BRAT that thinks they know it all! They don't want you around, you don't know a darn thing and they aren't too bashful about telling you that either! It's her friends she cares about, they are the MOST important thing right now, not us. I know it will pass, just a few more years, I hope! My only saving grace right now is Miss Hannah. She's still my pumpkin who loves her Mom no questions asked!
