Autumn's Splendor
The quiet wind whispers through the sun drenched maple tree
The sun just beginning to caress its withering leaves
It gives off that glow that only a fall sunset can create
The branches shiver as though chilled by autumns first date
The tips of them shining and gleaming as if dipped in gold
The leaves drip with the suns reflection of their mosaic hues
The browns, reds and greens, colors only nature can command
They look as though they have been painted by Gods own hand
As the sun sinks lower, the Gold starts to grow
Until the whole tree is shimmering with Gods captivating glow
