And reversed our values.

Called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness
And called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn
And called it choice.
We have shot abortionists
And called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline
Our children and called it
Building self esteem.
We have abused power
And called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's
Possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air
With profanity and
Pornography and called it
Freedom of speech and expression.
We have ridiculed the time
Honored values of our
Forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God,
And know our hearts today;
Cleanse us from every sin
And set us free.

It's too Dang cold!
Ok, so I wanted winter to get here, I really did. Back on the 7th of this month there was no snow, it was warm, it never really felt like Christmas this year...well, winter has finally arrived and it's just too cold! It's one thing to have cold, but below zero every day, I don't like that!!
Hannah stayed home this morning for a check up at the doctor's, during the whole time we were at the doctor's she complained of her stomach hurting. I thought it was from being nervous about going to the doctor's. I kept telling her it would go away, but she insisted she did NOT feel well.
The doctor was late, as usual, so that put me late to my hair appt which I desperately needed to get too, my hair was much too long, so I raced from the doctor's appt to the hair dresser with a very restless, not feeling well child next to me and again, I insisted she was fine.
We no more walked into the beauty salon, thank goodness we took the back way in which has the bathroom right there cuz as soon as we entered she became very ill and threw up!
UGH, what a morning...I did manage to get my hair cut though!

Storm Warnings
It finally snowed a little, our first real official storm of the entire winter! It was a very fine snow that fell on Monday the 15th and I'm just getting around to posting about it now, LOL! We got about 6 inches total, which is big these days!
I had hubby put the bird feeders back up and I am so glad I did as there are so many different birds to see in the winter time. So far some chickadees, a slightly larger version but they have a pretty color blue on the back and then the blue jays, who are VERY noisy! I want to see a cardinal, but so far haven't seen any.
We were suppose to get another big storm this weekend, but I guess it's going to go by us and head for Maine. I was hoping we'd get more snow, but so far just little squalls here and there, but the temps have dropped that is for sure!
Hannah wants to do more sledding today so will get some more pics and hopefully some pics of the winter birdies too!
I talked with Dodie this morning and she sounds really good. A little tired, but overall doing really well and thinking about going back to work! I shall keep her in my prayers as she has many days of radiation treaments to get through, but I know she will do just fine! God Bless her!

A little bit of winter
maybe?
It's been a bit chilly the last couple of days and we actually had some snow yesterday, big ol' snow flakes that fell most of the day, but not much accumilation. I hear there is a storm headed this way for Monday, we'll see. That's an awful long ways away.
It's been a strange winter, alot like last year. I've had no good pics of the weather this year, yet...
We'll see what Monday brings.

Another year has come and gone, how can it be? The older I get the faster time seems to go.
I haven't celebrated a New Year's in a long time and this year was no different and for some reason, this year just didn't seem to be that big of a deal. It felt different, but yet it didn't, strange.
I look back on recent years gone by and those that have long since past and I reflect on what was, what wasn't and what is yet to be.
As always I am wishing and praying for health, safety and prosperity in the coming year. I pray for peace and goodwill and for the things we need and not want.
Father time, he stops for no one...
