and the beat goes on
and on...
Summer is winding down and it's been a good one. Great weather, gardens have done well, but we've been pretty lazy about the weeding. Andy did some tonight and I need to get out there this week too.
Went camping, real camping, at Lake Francis last weekend and we had a great time. Weather was good except for a minor thunder storm that Sat night that made me quite uneasy, but it passed without event, thank goodness! Hannah really enjoyed it too and the lake was great, watched an eagle soar with a hawk and that was pretty awesome to watch!
Work this weekend and then we are off to Crawford Notch for a weekend of camping with Bob, Dodie and Molly and do some school shopping.
Devon has decided not to go to Maine in August and has instead bought a ticket to FL to stay with Heather. Not sure that will last long, but it will be good for her to get away and test the waters semi on her own for a bit. I am in hopes that she will do some thorough soul searching and think about coming back to go to college like she had planned! She's not ready I guess, but I'm not so sure that's all of it.
Andy's family were all up this past week, Bill, Anita and Pete and his family. Hannah has been out to the campground since last night and is spending another night tonight. She's had a pretty good summer too. Has been to summer school, camp and camping with us and then we plan to to go to one of the fairs this year too.
Andy is having more dental work done, finally getting some better teeth! Needs to do it, what he has left is about gone!

Laid up
Terrible back pain yesterday and today I could hardly get out of bed! Missed work and I'm only comfortable lying down. So it's been John Wayne movies all day on AMC!! Haven't had back pain like this in years!
Already July 4th weekend too and the temps have been a bit chilly this past week. Wearing a light sweater in July is unheard of for me. The weatherman, however, is predicting some hot and humid stuff this week coming, can't wait.
Parade tomorrow and Hannah is going to be on the church float and she's pretty excited about that, hope I can get out of bed tomorrow to go see it too.
Summer is here!!
