A Summer night along the shore of Willoughby Lake
He was refined, his body lanky and strong -- his sandy brown hair slightly long around the contour of his face -- his eyes bluish gray and so haunting. His handsome smile was a bit crooked as were his two front teeth and when he smiled she felt her heart melt.
The air was warm that night with a soft wind blowing in from the waters and her dark hair blew gently away from her face. He held her hand as they walked barefoot along the waters edge and she leaned into his shoulder resting her head softly against him. He looked up into the moonlight and then back towards her softly kissing her hair. The water washing up onto shore was cold against their barefeet and as they moved along she squeezed his hand and closed her eyes as he led her along further away from the street lights.
They were so young and without the weight of the world on them -- and they had known each other before in a different time under different circumstances and he had loved her then as he so wanted to love her now. He stopped before they reached the end of the beach and turned to face her and she leaned into him his arms encircling her and he pressed his hands against her back her breasts tentatively coming against his chest. She tilted her head back to see him more clearly and the wind blew his hair and hers across their cheeks. He cupped her face in his hands moving her dark locks away with his thumbs and then he leaned in closer brushing his lips gently against her chin and then her lips. She instinctively sucked in her breath the moment their lips met and she ran her hands up either side of his muscular arms as he ran his fingers through her hair and she suddenly felt him, hard, against her. She leaned into his arms and he caught her against him - tugging at her shirt and squeezing her flesh beneath his strong, but gentle hands. His kiss exploded feverishly and they slowly fell together onto the wet sand with the cool July water lapping at their entwined electrified bodies.
Young and wild they were --- with not a care in the world...her eyes opened slowly as she fondly remembered that night of long ago in her youth. The reminiscent moonlight cascaded over the doorway of her front porch and brought with it those sweet memories she had kept so secretly tucked away in her heart...she wondered for a moment where the time had gone...where had those years vanished too and then she sighed quietly a faint smile parting her lips --- such sweet innocence, such melancholy reminders of a love forever lost.

Life & Times
So it's been a tough few months emotionally -- I am looking for strength from above and peace within myself -- no one said this life would be easy --- man were they right!
It's been a long cold winter too! We've been through a lot of our wood so far and we still have a good 8 weeks of winter to go...
The holidays -- have come and gone and I am glad for that. We did have a nice Christmas -- Devon was home, but it wasn't all good on that note, but she's back in FL now doing her thing and I'm praying it all goes well for her...
Had a good weekend down to Dodie's and it was so nice to visit with them. Dodie has been such a good friend to me all these yrs and I thank the Lord for that! We went shopping and took the kids to pizza putt which Hannah was so excited to do! She also had her ears pierced about a month ago and so far so good!
We've been snowshoeing and sliding this winter and the sliding was really fun! Had a good time.
I'm waiting for spring and Hannah's 10th birthday is coming soon and she's excited for that as well -- can't wait to be in the double digits I guess...
I'm also looking forward to doing some more home repairs and gardening and more camping trips!
