May Flowers
So after a terribly long winter with lots and lots of snow we are into our spring here in Northern Vermont and it's been a wet one! Forcast is looking grim this week with showers every day starting yesterday -- there were a lot of floods this spring. Salem flooded -- the worst seen by Andy's family in the last 60 yrs! Lake Champlain also flooded bad and caused a lot of damage to homes and businesses.
Things are growing though -- our grass is a lush green and all the perenials are up -- daffodils and iris and all the day lilly's are coming along as well as the monster hosta we have out in front of our back porch --
We've worked on the kitchen the past couple of weeks and have all new wall paper and wainscoting up and what a difference! I love it -- all that is left is to hang new curtains and some new prints/decorations I've purchased and then new flooring at some point.
Miss Hannah has about a month left of school -- 4th grade is done! She's doing better -- making progress in math and reading and she seems to like science well enough! One of her field trips this year will be to the Shelburn Museum and Andy will go with her. I went there yrs ago with Devon and so thought it would be good if Andy took this trip with Hannah -- hope they get some good pics!
Devon will be home in July and I must get working on her room! it has sort of turned into a catch all since she flew the coop and she doesn't even have a bed to sleep on! Will be working on that...
Otherwise -- things are good -- lots to be thankful for despite the rainy days ahead!
